29th Oak Grove Music Festival

It's not often that a person gets to hear great music, in an incredible setting, in workshop-afternoon and evening concert situations a MILE from your home; but that would be a definition of 'blessed' indeed !

Well.......I was blessed this past weekend at the 29th Oak Grove Music Festival right up the street from our house.

Pictures from top to bottom are; Friday eve Up and Coming Performers blue stone sky, Heart Gets Monkey and Trees on Fire. All great but keep your eyes out and see the sites for Trees on Fire: " hybrid-rock geniuses", "organica" or maybe Bob Marley with a Shenandoah Valley spin. Followed by Saturday performances and workshops by: the superb Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen, Carrie Newcomer (wow!), Mel Jones and His Bag O'Bones and Scott Fore & His Hillbilly Hotclub. Top quality sound by Gary Kirby out of Stuarts Draft. Put this on your calender right now for next year !

Trip to San Antonio TX and BSF 8/07

Well of course this is Miss Ella Rose who is up around an walking now. I thought I would use her picture to just say " Hello" from the Ashby's and invite you to view some pictures of our recent trip to work in the Bible Study Fellowship International pressroom.

BSF International prints and distributes Bible lessons and support material for over 900 classes worldwide for adults and children. They do all this with a minimum of paid staff and utilize volunteers to assist in their efforts. We packed lessons for adults and children for classes from Ghana, Kenya, Scotland and Harrisonburg VA to name a few !
